This Ohio native has been in hospitality for nearly two decades. Starting work in restaurants as a teenager, Jenn Rossi has worked her way up from being a Sales Associate, to Event Coordinator, a Dining Room Manager, Assistant Manager and then General Manager, all within the same restaurant group. Wait, we’re not done. During her time as General Manager, she was recognized by her company as GM of the year and Restaurant of the Year and was made an Operating Partner. To say she’s accomplished is an understatement.
But let’s take it back a bit. At 19, Jenn moved for three months to a small town outside of Paris and her affair with wine and travel began. After moving back to Ohio, she continued to travel as much as possible, finished her degree in Hospitality Management and continued to expand her knowledge of wine through work – gaining experience as a wine buyer, cultivating wine lists and, in general, tasting a lot of great juice.
How were we so lucky to snag her? It was a work retreat to Napa in 2010 that sealed the deal. She quickly fell in love with the Napa Valley and says she “really loved the idea of an entire community centered around hospitality.” She instantly knew this is where she eventually wanted to be. It was during this trip she also met Dave Miner and the two became quick fans of each other – her, connecting with the wines and the brand Dave built, and him, honing in on her enthusiasm, graciousness and knowledge. They kept in touch and when Miner was looking for a hospitality professional to run our consumer sales program, Dave knew just who to call. Jenn headed out west in October of 2013, and her Manifest Destiny was complete.
