Maura ChristoffersAssistant Winemaker
After growing up near the beaches in Southern California, Maura decided to radically change her scenery and attend the agriculture school at UC Davis. While studying at Davis, Maura learned about the Viticulture and Enology program, and knew she had found her calling.
Four years later, with a BS in Viticulture and Enology, a Minor in Managerial Economics, and a harvest under her belt, Maura left the country to work abroad. After a flurry of back-to-back harvests in Australia, Germany, New Zealand, and all over Napa, Maura finally settled down and joined Miner as a permanent employee in 2013. We think she has worked in more wineries than the rest of us combined!
After a brief stint as our Enologist, Maura was promoted to Assistant Winemaker. She continues to run our lab, while simultaneously being a huge part of our winemaking team. She is always able to offer a fresh perspective on techniques and winemaking styles.
