Pete HulsTasting Room Manager

Pete Huls aims high and gets things done. For starters, in college when most of his peers where getting through finals drinking beer out of kegs, this then part-time fine dining employee was consuming some high-end juice. Half empty bottles of wine from the end of the night (the spoils of war) were taken home and not just for “fun” but to learn from.

During his senior year at Sacramento State, Pete took his Hospitality Management studies and shifted his focus on the wine industry, essentially creating his own degree program.

On to 2008, where Pete began his wine industry career at an Amador County winery and quickly became the Tasting Room Manager. In 2010, he made the move to Napa and landed in the Miner Family Winery tasting room two short years later in 2012. And one year after that, he was promoted to Tasting Room & Hospitality Manager. Again, aims high and gets things done.

In his role here at Miner, Pete develops and manages our tour and tasting programs, trains staff, manages day-to-day tasting room operations and hosts guests. He’s a keeper.
