“There is a winemaking polish here that makes up in part for the wine’s slight foibles of tightness and heat, and, if bothered a bit by the ripe-but-narrow difficulties that plague many wines of the vintage, it sports slightly deeper and more plentiful fruit than 2006 typically yields. That said, it is not so substantial as to need lengthy cellaring, and we suggest three to four years of age.”
