“Ripe, sweetly fruity and fairly oaky with notes of raspberry in the background of its expected blackberry and spice scents, this one has the aromas of a riper St. Joseph from the northern Rhone. It is reasonably dense but never heavy on the palate, and its load of slightly coarse tannins are those of youth and will settle out with a bit of bottle aging.”
