The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Volker Eisele Vineyard is rock-solid, and quite possibly the finest in the lineup. Darker currants, scorched earth, graphite, and some tobacco and cedar pencil notes all make an appearance in the aromatics, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has a concentrated, balanced mouthfeel, plenty of ripe tannins, and a good finish. Give it a year or two and enjoy it over the following decade or more.
