Taking a closer look at one specific clone from the site, the full-bodied 2023 Pinot Noir Rosella’s Vineyard 777 is burlier, earthier, and more structured than the producer’s standard Rosella’s, with rich blue and red berry fruit and a dusting of dried herb. Entirely destemmed, it aged 17 months in 60% new French oak, the oak pronounced in spice. Drink now through 2030. – Virginie Boone
