Vinous, August 2015

Deep red. Powerful cherry pit, black raspberry and licorice aromas emerge slowly, picking up suggestions of dried rose and black tea. Chewy and concentrated on the palate, offering intense dark berry and bitter cherry flavors and a lashing of peppery spices. Aeration brings up a rose pastille note that carries through a long, youthfully tannic, spice-tinged finish. This very young wine benefits quite a bit from aeration.
