Rafael Vineyard Napa Valley

Established in the early 1980s on a former cattle ranch, this 25-acre vineyard is situated on the west side of Napa Valley in the Oak Knoll District AVA. Its Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown in one of the Valley’s cooler sections and contribute balanced characteristics to each Miner program.

Varietals: Chardonnay & Cabernet Sauvignon

Planted: 1984, 2002 and 2008

Owner/Farmer: Marc Rafael

Soil: Primarily sedimentary, gravelly alluvial loams.

Site/Climate: Located on the western bench in Napa Valley’s “sweet spot” of the Oak Knoll District terroir. Undulating terrain with moderate temperatures year-round, resulting in a long, cool growing season heavily influenced by the marine presence of the San Pablo Bay.
