Steinbeck Vineyard Paso Robles

Situated in the Geneseo District eleven miles east of Paso Robles, Steinbeck Vineyard has been Miner’s source of top-quality Viognier fruit since the 2018 harvest. The Viognier block comprises twenty-two acres of the expansive, 330-acre property, farmed for seven generations by the Steinbeck family.

Varietals: Viognier

Planted: 2006

Owner/Farmer: Ryan Newkirk, Steinbeck Farming

Soil: Sandy clay and clay loam

Site/Climate: Hot-summer Mediterranean climate with a mild, long-lasting fall. The Templeton Gap brings in cool air and fog from the Pacific Ocean, while the huge diurnal temperature shift from daytime to nighttime allows for even ripening during the growing season.
