Vyborny Vineyard Napa Valley

More formally known as the Vyborny Game Farm and named for the quail and pheasant originally raised on it, Alex and Benton Vyborny’s vineyard is a key component of our Oakville Cabernet Sauvignons. The Rector Dam Reservoir located directly across Silverado Trail provides this site with an ideal microclimate.

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc

Planted: 1987 and again in 1995

Owner/Farmer: Alex and Benton Vyborny

Soil: Cortina very stony loam

Site/Climate: Temperate Mediterranean climate in Oakville’s transitional location between St. Helena and Napa, with nearby Rector Dam Reservoir influencing the immediate microclimate along Silverado Trail. The site is warmer in the spring and cooler in the summer, perfect for world-class viticulture.
